Uplifting Author Services specializes in web design from existing self-hosted WordPress themes. I do not fully develop the site, which in turn saves you hundreds, potentially thousands. With so many beautiful themes to choose from, the sky’s the limit.

Alyssa Garcia, owner of Uplifting Author Services, is a bibliophile and hopeless romantic. A self taught graphic designer, she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University. When she isn’t working on designing beautiful things, Alyssa can be found snuggled up with her two children and husband reading a good book in her little corner of East Texas.

Alyssa also works for Kendall Ryan as her executive assistant and has worked on numerous successful email and ad campaigns for her and manages her website.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, only a self-hosted WordPress site will work. I can help talk you through getting what you need to make your dream website a reality. 

No, I customize pre-made themes. I have included a list of some of my favorite developers below. 

I invoice you at the time of booking. For your spot to be held, you will be required to pay your non-refundable $100 deposit. 

Before the design project can begin, 50% of the invoice will be due. 

100% is due at the end of the design process.

This will start off with a questionnaire as soon as you book. This questionnaire will help me get an idea of what style you’re looking for. Once your questionnaire is submitted, your contract signed, and first payment is made, I will begin the project at your scheduled time.

Once the project has started it will take me anywhere from two-four weeks.

Once the first design is sent, you will be allowed to make up to five rounds of revisions. 

Once the design is final, I offer an hour phone/screen share call to walk you through updating your site. I also have tutorials set up that you will have access to. 

I also offer Website maintenance on a monthly and yearly basis. 

I prefer to communicate via email and Facebook Messenger. Email if it’s something important I will need to remember to do later. Facebook Messenger for back and forth brainstorming. 

I only accept payments through PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you may pay invoices by inputting your credit card infromation directly through the PayPal website. 

I invoice the full amount with only the deposit due at the time of booking. You may pay out the remainder of the balance before the design process begins.
